SongBurst Summer Sing

FRIDAY. AUG 14, 7:30 p.m.
HERITAGE AMPHITHEATRE, HAWRELAK PARK

Join us for SongBurst Summer Sing, a casual community sing that brings people together through the joy of singing. Whether you're a long-time choir member, an occasional singer, or someone who simply likes to sing, everyone is welcome. There are no printed scores, no auditions, and no pressure—just a fun evening of making music together.

Led by local musician Karen Porkka and SongBurst guest conductor Bruce Cable, the community sing features a wide variety of music, from pop and musical theatre to folk songs and classical favourites. Every song is taught by ear, making it easy for everyone to join in, regardless of experience. Throughout the evening, the SongBurst Summer Choir will also share short performances featuring music prepared during the SongBurst Summer Choir Workshop.

Gates open at 7:00 p.m., and the community sing begins at 7:30 p.m. Come early to enjoy the food trucks and connect with Edmonton's singing community. Be sure to visit the Choir Alberta information booth to learn about choirs across the city, upcoming auditions, the 2026–27 choral season, and Choir Alberta's programs and initiatives.
